Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, recently attended the big pre-wedding party of Anant Ambani, the son of Mukesh Ambani, who is the chairman of Reliance Industries. Gates shared a message on Instagram, thanking Mukesh and Nita Ambani for their hospitality.

In his post, Gates mentioned how he and his girlfriend Paula Hurd were treated with great kindness during their time in India, especially by Mukesh and Nita Ambani at the celebration for their son Anant and his fiancée Radhika.

This was Gates’ first experience attending a wedding celebration in India, and he expressed how amazing it was. He also shared a photo with Nandan Nilekani, the co-founder of Infosys, and his wife, saying that the festivities gave him a chance to catch up with old friends.

The pre-wedding events for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant took place over three days in Gujarat’s Jamnagar from 1-3 March. The grand celebration was attended by around 1,200 guests, including notable figures like Meta founder Marck Zuckerberg, pop star Rihanna, Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, and Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif.

Anant Ambani, who is 28 years old, will be marrying his long-time girlfriend Radhika Merchant in July. Radhika is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., and entrepreneur Shaila Merchant.

Mukesh Ambani, who is 66 years old, has started transitioning leadership roles to his sons and daughter. His elder son Akash now heads Reliance Jio, his daughter Isha oversees the retail sector, and his younger son Anant has been involved in the new energy business.
