Superstar – Super Singer- Super Composer KK, whose real name was Krishnakumar Kunnath, died in Kolkata on Tuesday(31st May, 2022) at the age of 53. KK’s official Instagram page has visuals of a concert at Nazrul Mancha held some 10 hours ago. There was no air condition working at the auditorium due to that is the reason KK fall sick and finally collapsed on the way to hospital. The doctor at CMRI hospital said the singer was brought as dead. KK’s wife and two sons will fly to Kolkata Wednesday morning. KK performed at two back-to-back shows in Kolkata in the last two days.

As soon as the news of KK’s death broke, people paid tribute to the legend. Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”

Mohit Chauhan tweeted, “KK… not fair man. Not your time to go. This was the last time we were together to announce a tour together. How can you just go??? In shock. In grief. A ear dear friend, a brother is gone. RIP KK. Love you.”

Shweta Mohan tweeted, “Shocking and absolutely devastating! He was just so amazing and magical … Just unfair that he’s gone too soon… Another heartache to live with 🙏🙏😓😓 #KK”

KK became immensely famous among the music lovers with his first album “Pal”. He gave Bollywood some of its chart busters like “Tadap Tadap” (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam), “Dus Bahane” (Dus), “Gori Gori” (Main Hoon Na), “Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai” (Woh Lamhe), “Tune Maari Entriyaan” (Gunday),, “Tu Jo Mila” (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) and many others.
