Suhana Khan, the daughter of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, recently made headlines as she purchased agricultural land in Thal village, Alibaug, for a substantial amount of ₹12.91 crore. Interestingly, the registration documents describe Suhana Khan as an “agriculturist.”
According to the registration records obtained by IndexTap.com, the transaction was completed on June 1. The purchase includes a 1.5-acre plot of agricultural land along with existing structures spanning 2,218 square feet. Suhana paid a stamp duty of ₹77.46 lakh for the acquisition. The land was bought from three sisters named Anjali, Rekha, and Priya Khot, who inherited it from their parents.
The property is registered under the name of Déjà Vu Farm Pvt Ltd, a company in which Shah Rukh Khan’s mother-in-law Savita Chhibber and sister-in-law Namita Chhibber serve as directors.
Thal village is conveniently located just a short 12-minute drive away from Alibaug town. It’s worth mentioning that Shah Rukh Khan himself reportedly owns a sea-facing property in Thal, featuring amenities such as a swimming pool and a helipad. He has previously hosted a lavish 52nd birthday celebration at this luxurious bungalow.
At the age of 23, Suhana Khan is already making her mark in the entertainment industry. Earlier this year, she signed her first brand endorsement deal with a prominent cosmetic company. She is also scheduled to make her film debut in a project called “The Archies,” directed by Zoya Akhtar for Netflix. Suhana completed her studies at Ardingly College in Sussex, UK, and further pursued an acting degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2022.
Alibaug has become a favoured destination for several Mumbai celebrities, who own vacation homes along the picturesque coastal region. Personalities like Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, as well as industrialist Gautam Singhania, have invested in properties in the area. The connectivity to Alibaug has significantly improved with the introduction of Ro-Ro and speedboats connecting Mumbai to the town. Furthermore, the ongoing construction of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link sea bridge, expected to be completed by the end of the year, will further enhance road connectivity to Alibaug.
