According to reports from Filmfare, Vanga is in discussions with Salman Khan for a dark-action crime thriller. This comes alongside his collaborations with Allu Arjun and Prabhas on other projects. Vanga has also expressed interest in working with stars like Chiranjeevi and Shah Rukh Khan.
Despite its box office success, “Animal” has faced criticism for allegedly glorifying misogyny and toxic masculinity. Vanga recently defended the film, stating that negative reviews didn’t affect the success of “Kabir Singh.” He criticized some critics for their lack of understanding of film craft, sound design, and editing.
“Animal,” released on December 1, delves into the complexities of a toxic father-son relationship, with Ranbir Kapoor portraying an anti-hero willing to go to extreme lengths to protect his father, even resorting to violence.
Amid mixed responses, expectations are high for “Animal” to continue its box office streak. Additionally, a sequel titled “Animal Park” is in the works, with Kapoor revealing exciting details about its darker and more complex storyline.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is gearing up to collaborate with Karan Johar for a high-budget action film directed by Vishnuvardhan. The movie, reportedly based on a true story, will see Khan playing a paramilitary officer. While initial plans aimed for filming to begin in November 2023 and a Christmas 2024 release, no official confirmation has been provided yet.
