In a recent social media post, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh made a mistake while promoting Lakshadweep tourism. He accidentally shared a picture of the Maldives instead of the Indian island, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s lead.

Social media is widely used, even by celebrities, but sometimes mistakes happen. Ranveer Singh, in his post, encouraged exploring India in 2024, particularly the islands. However, the picture he shared was of the Maldives, not Lakshadweep. Netizens quickly pointed out the error, questioning why he was promoting Indian islands with a picture of the Maldives.

Ranveer promptly deleted the post and shared it again without any picture. However, people on the internet continued to comment on the mistake, noting that the internet always remembers. Other celebrities, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Kangana Ranaut, have also joined the ‘Visit Lakshadweep campaign’ under the hashtag #ExploreIndianIslands.
