The south Indian film industry has a huge star in Anushka, but she has been disappointing her fans by doing only a select few films in her career. It has been five years since she was last seen in a Telugu film, Nishabdam, which was directly released on an OTT platform. However, her upcoming romantic drama, Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty, which stars Naveen Polishetty as the male lead, has now been acquired by Zee 5 for a fancy price.
Zee 5 has bagged the OTT rights as well as the satellite rights of the film, making it quite special. Previously, the Hindi and Tamil version rights of the film were also bought by Zee 5 for a significant amount. The movie has been produced by Prabhas’s home banner, UV Creations, and directed by Mahesh Babu P. Although the release date is yet to be finalized, sources suggest that it will be released in June or July.
Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty revolves around a 40-year-old woman who falls in love with a young man played by Naveen Polishetty. It has been quite some time since Naveen was last seen on screen, with his last blockbuster hit, Jathi Ratnalu, having been released two years ago. The film is a modern-day take on relationships and has been made on a decent budget. Fans of Anushka and Naveen are eagerly waiting for its release, with the OTT rights now owned by Zee 5.
