Pandey, aged 32, was in her hometown of Kanpur when she died. “We are deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Details about her funeral are awaited,” said the PR team. They also described her as someone who showed pure love and kindness to everyone she met.

Pandey gained fame for her role in the 2013 movie “Nasha,” where she played a teacher involved in a romantic relationship with a student.
